On October 17, 35,000 breeding eggs independently developed by Mile Xin Guang Animal Husbandry and Technology Co., Ltd. were inspected and quarantined on-site by Mengzi Customs under the supervision of Kunming Customs before being shipped to Tanzania. This marks the first export of breeding eggs from Yunnan, signifying the province's poultry breeding industry stepping onto the global stage and embarking on a new phase of international development.
"We have been deeply involved in the breeding of broiler chickens for many years and have always hoped to export our self-developed white-feathered broiler chicken eggs to international markets. However, due to a lack of relevant experience, we initially did not know how to proceed with the export process," said Li Yungang, deputy general manager of the company. Breeding eggs are crucial agricultural germplasm resources that carry excellent genetic traits, providing high-quality breeding support for the genetic improvement of livestock and poultry breeds and the upgrading of farming industries in importing countries.
In order to support the smooth export of high-quality breeding eggs produced in Yunnan, Mengzi Customs actively meets the needs of enterprises, collects and sorts out the animal quarantine requirements of export target markets, guides enterprises to refine key links such as vaccination of breeding chickens, "clean and dirty separation" disinfection of breeding areas, and normalized monitoring of diseases one by one, and establishes a full chain traceability system from breeding chicken breeding to egg production, ensuring that every breeding egg can be traced and the quality can be controlled.
Growing eggs is extremely sensitive to storage time and transportation environment, and even a slight delay may affect hatching rate, "said Yin Meijiang, deputy director of the Mengzi Customs Supervision Department. Expected to expand into a broader market." (Chen Rui, Zheng Yun/Wen)
