Recently, the Changsha Post Office, under the jurisdiction of Changsha Customs, has seized 19 live ants belonging to the "exotic pets" from three incoming parcels.According to professional organizations, these living ants are identified as 6 species, including Amundhoven Ant, Purple Rainbow Stinky Ant, Pseudo Widespread Bowback Ant, Red Bulldog Ant, Black Belt Cattle Ant, and Polychaete Cattle Ant, totaling 145, all of which are foreign species that have not yet been naturally distributed in China.
The above-mentioned package had abnormal machine inspection images during entry inspection. The on-site customs officer opened it and found multiple old plush toys with stitching marks. After inspection, there are a total of 19 test tubes inside the toy, which contain live ants.
